Interview with Dr. Yusuke Inoue, M.D. Department of Diagnostic Radiology (*)
About the hospital
There used to be 3 different PACS system operating in their hospital (Kitasato University Hospital) and their affiliated hospital (Kitasato University East Hospital). In May 2014, with the construction of a new hospital ward, they took the opportunity to replace their PACS with PSP’s “EV Insite System”. From that time, EV Insite System has stored and managed all images in their hospitals.
Why did you choose PSP?
Therefore, we have chosen PSP as our PACS specialist since we believe they have become our partner in providing competent consulting skills to come up with suitable proposals, adapting to our situation and needs.
We can feel PSP’s strong enthusiasm to fulfill our needs and assist radiology diagnosis. Rather than saying “This is too difficult”, they never give up and work hard to give us the best solution.
We also appreciate their responsibility when working on our projects. Our system renewal was a complete success because they really met our needs that we initially discussed.
What are the appeals of PSP products?
“EV Insite R is really satisfying.”
The default display can be easily customizable. Also, we can intuitively and comfortably add a series of images in the main window during interpretation.
Reconstructed images and MIP images can be created on a different window, which helps us to compare with other images.
Moreover, fusion features are easy-to-use, which can be applied to not only nuclear medicine, but also MRI images’ interpretation. Physicians in our clinical departments also commented “our system has become more user-friendly since the system renewal”.
The standalone viewer, EV Insite S is used for clinical exercises in our university. Students are getting more motivated by using almost the same features as of the hospital’s system on EV Insite S. PSP’s system has contributed to making radiological images more appealing.
